Special Event: Roland Springs Ranch Tour

 
 

Join us in juLY at two special times!

Scurry County Museum and the Museum of Texas Tech University invite you to tour paleontological excavations at Roland Springs Ranch in Scurry County, Texas, just east of Snyder. The Museum of Texas Tech University conducts excavations at Roland Springs each July. Those investigations reveal a wealth of ancient animal bones that date to at least 2 million years ago! Join us to learn more about regional natural history and this highly significant paleontological locality!

  • Tours are available at 9:00 am and 10:00 am on July 3rd. Tours last one hour.

  • Tours are free, but all guests must RSVP with Scurry County Museum.

  • Tours are entirely outdoors – expect uneven, unimproved trails and heat.

  • Tours occur as the weather permits, rain or high winds will cause the tour to be canceled.
